How can I pay for my order?

To initiate the production of your ring, we require a deposit of either 25% or 50%, depending on your preference. The remaining balance can be paid in installments leading up to the collection or upon collection/delivery of the item. Our rings typically take between 4 to 5 weeks to craft, and we can securely store your ring until all payments are completed.

Can I pay for my purchase in monthly payments?

Yes, you have the option to pay for your ring or jewelry in installments when placing an order in-store, over the phone, or via email. The full balance must be settled upon collection or prior to delivery of your order. Our standard production time is between 4 to 5 weeks, during which you can make as many installment payments as needed. If you require a longer payment period, we can securely store your order until it’s convenient for you to finalize payment.

Can I recover tax paid on my purchase?

All prices shown on our website, in-store, or provided in quotes include Value Added Tax (VAT). As of the beginning of 2021, due to changes in the Retail Export Scheme, customers are no longer eligible to reclaim VAT on their jewelry purchases upon leaving the country.

Is the quoted price subject to change?

When you receive a quote during a consultation, the price offered will remain unchanged for a period of 14 days. If you choose not to proceed with the order within this timeframe, the price in your next quote may vary. This adjustment is due to potential fluctuations in diamond and metal prices. We strive to maintain pricing stability and will uphold the quoted price for orders placed within the standard quotation period.

Are there hidden fees for personalized orders?

No, we never apply hidden charges, and you’ll receive a clear price quote before confirming your order.

There are no additional fees for bespoke orders, and they are priced similarly to our standard designs. For instance, the metalwork for a solitaire ring remains consistent at £700, whether it’s a standard design or a custom creation. If you opt for enhancements such as a diamond-set bridge or engraving, these are priced with a flat fee, which your consultant will discuss during the quoting process.

What are your shipping destinations?

We offer shipping services both domestically within the UK and internationally worldwide. For international shipping, please contact us to discuss any additional costs that may apply.

Within the UK, orders are dispatched using Royal Mail Special Delivery Guaranteed (Next Day Service) or Malca-Amit, both of which include tracking and require a signature upon delivery. All shipments are fully insured.

Are deliveries secure and insured?

Yes, we prioritize secure delivery methods recommended by our insurance provider for shipments within the UK, typically utilizing Royal Mail Special Delivery Guaranteed and Malca-Amit for higher value items. These services offer full tracking, insurance coverage, and aim for delivery the day after dispatch.

During Covid-19 restrictions, Royal Mail may not require a physical signature upon delivery, but confirmation of delivery can still be accessed through the tracking page using the recipient’s name.

What type of packaging will my order be in?

We ensure that our delivery packaging is discreet, omitting any logos or references to ‘jewellers’ or items that might indicate the package’s contents. However, for insurance purposes, Queensmith’s return address is required on the packaging. Therefore, if you prefer to maintain the element of surprise, it’s best to accept the delivery yourself.

Each ring is securely packaged inside a ring box upon arrival. Similarly, other jewellery items are packaged safely within a jewellery box.

What is the typical delivery timeframe?

Typically, your order will undergo crafting, which usually takes around 4 to 5 weeks. Upon placing your order, we will provide you with the specific due date. Some rings may have shorter production times, while ready-to-wear pieces are available for immediate shipping (unless resizing or other work is needed).

Once your order is ready for dispatch, it will be shipped using either Royal Mail Special Delivery Guaranteed (Next Day Service) or FedEx Priority Service. Both options include tracking and require a signature upon delivery to ensure proof of receipt. Please consider possible delays on Sundays and bank holidays, which may affect delivery times.

Over-polishing can weaken the metal, so we’ll advise you accordingly.

Our rings come with three complimentary resizing services. To maintain durability, we suggest limiting resizing to three times.

We offer a free servicing appointment as needed (typically recommended every 1 to 2 years) to ensure your jewellery is in optimal condition and may require any necessary adjustments. If your item is damaged or needs attention, please notify us promptly. Please note, there may be charges for repairs needed due to damage sustained while outside our care.

What is the best method for cleaning jewellery at home?

Prepare a bowl and fill it with very warm water mixed with a small amount of Fairy liquid (ensure the water is not scalding hot). Have a soft-bristled toothbrush and a clean cloth or tea towel ready.
Place your jewellery into the bowl and let it soak for about ten minutes. Avoid cleaning your jewellery under running water with an open drain to prevent accidents. The warm water and Fairy liquid will effectively break down oils and dirt during this time.
After soaking, gently use the toothbrush to remove any remaining dirt. Take care to brush behind the diamond and underneath the setting, if your jewellery design allows. While diamonds are durable, metals like platinum and gold can scratch, so use a soft toothbrush with light pressure.

How can I ensure my jewellery remains undamaged?

Jewellery Care Guidelines

How does we handle returns and exchanges?

40-Day Free Returns:

We offer a generous 40-day return policy for a full refund on eligible items. This applies to items where the diamond is priced below £25,000 excluding VAT and items that have not been customized from their original state as displayed on our website.

While we provide free shipping for deliveries, please note that return shipping charges are the customer’s responsibility.

To qualify for a refund, the return must be initiated within 40 days of delivery and received by us within one week thereafter (no later than 47 days after delivery). The item must be in its original, unworn condition without any damage, accompanied by all original documents and materials.

Our production team will inspect the returned item. Items showing signs of wear, alteration, resizing by a non- jeweller, or damage cannot be returned.

In the rare event of a faulty item or an error in your order, we will repair, replace, or refund the item at no cost. Please return the item to Queensmith before any replacement, repair, or refund process begins.

Excluded from our 40-day return policy are bespoke commissions, personalized or engraved items, and pierced jewelry such as earrings for hygiene reasons. All refunds are contingent upon the item being unworn, unused, undamaged, and in saleable condition.

Returns must be properly and securely packaged. Returns lacking necessary paperwork (including the GIA report) or missing product(s) may not be processed. In such cases, a £250 fee may be deducted from your refund to replace any missing diamond or gemstone grading certificates.

Please note, if you exchange your order for another ring, the second ring is non-returnable unless due to a manufacturing issue.

Am I able to return an engagement ring if it doesn't meet the recipient's expectations?

We offer complimentary resizing for all Queensmith rings up to three times throughout its lifetime. Our resizing service allows adjustments up or down by up to three sizes, though typically, most adjustments are by one size or half a size.

While you may only need to resize your ring once initially, it’s common for finger sizes to change over time, such as after events like pregnancy.

Please note that we can only resize rings purchased directly from us and cannot accommodate resizing for rings purchased elsewhere.
